It is never too late for a fresh start!
Getting things right first-time round!
It’s great when we get things right the first time. Life is easy when we say the right thing, make the best choice, choose the correct priorities, avoid the things that will hurt us and live like Jesus. But it doesn’t take a whole lot of honesty to admit that we don’t always get things right the first time.
Do you ever feel like you need a new beginning?
Most days we can experience frustration and sometimes spiritually confused with some of the things happening in the world; distracted by so many situations that we can do absolutely nothing about.
One of the greatest things about faith is that God is a God of second chances, fresh starts and new beginnings. Second chances are one of the best things ever. If we choose to act on them. God is never disappointed when bad times come. These are the times he wants us to ask him to help us and lean on him for guidance. After all he is our Saviour!
Hide and Seek!
Jesus meets us where we are! We cannot hide anything from him! Jesus knows our true selves before we even ask what we need to do next. When worry gets the better of you, it can make you feel like you’re tied up in knots inside. Sometimes today’s worries are quickly forgotten tomorrow. Don’t let them get the better of you! Give God your concerns, pray and hand them over. God wants to carry them for you. When you turn to him during hard times, he rejoices even more because of your faith in him. Just imagine Jesus walking into your situation, coming to give you hope. What would he say to you? How would it make you feel?
Questions to consider:
- What’s happening in your life right now?
- What’s not working in your life?
- What great question are you struggling with in your heart?
- Is there something you need to confess?
- Do you need a fresh start?
Whenever we get to a place in our life where things aren’t making sense, we need to rediscover Jesus. Jesus is the ultimate new beginning!
“Ask and it will be given to you; search and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you”.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardship as the pathway to peace. Taking as Jesus did this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that he will make all things right if I surrender to his will; that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with him forever In the next.
