The word inspire means ‘filled with the spirit’ and there are times when all of us take inspiration from the events and people around us. St Paul was inspired by a vision of Christ to change his ways and be a better person on the road to Damascus – we too can be inspired by Christ to change for the better. This week, think about how you can be inspirational. How can you give others a great example or show others how to live their lives in a better way?

  • Year 8 retreat day on Tuesday!  Remember it’s non school uniform for you!
  • We have had an amazing response to our food bank appeal so far this half-term, keep it coming!

God is speaking…Are you listening? Take some time in your form to watch this video and reflect on what you think God is calling you to do.

Consider these questions whilst you are watching the video: Are you listening to the signs that God is giving you? What is God calling you to do? How are you being inspired by God?

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never die. No one can snatch them away from me.”

John 10:27-28

God our Father help us to hear your calling. Help us to be inspired to be the person you have made us to be.
Guide and protect us today and always.
Amen

We talk a lot about how we can be God’s disciples, we do this by living out Jesus’ teachings.  What can you do to be a disciple of Chirst?  How can you inspire others?  How do you let them know that you love them, that you are proud of them, that you support them and their decisions? How can you be God’s shining light in the World?  Let us know your thoughts below.

“A person’s words can be a source of wisdom, deep as the ocean, fresh as a flowing stream.”

Proverbs 18:4

Lord Jesus, inspire in us the words to say and use. Words that will build up others. Words that inspire the people we meet. Words that spread your good news.
Amen

We invite you to listen to this song by Matt Maher called ‘Awake my soul’. Get comfortable where you are sat, relax, put away anything that will distract you from this encounter with Christ and close your eyes or focus on the screen. Let your mind be open to a new awakening with a personal encounter with Jesus. Ask for the inspiration to live out your life as a Christian.

When you are ready, ask God for his help and guidance today, let his words and comfort inspire you to be kind, work hard and do the right thing.

Lord, may we always be inspired to be the best that we can be and to be fully involved in our school community to make it a richer community.
