Holy Trinity in Newark had a fantastic day celebrating the Feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes.  They began their week with a ‘St Bernadette’ Word of the Week film. The students involved in the film researched the life of St Bernadette, the scripture link and reason, the reflection and reason, and they wrote the script for the film themselves.  I think we can all agree that it was a job very well done!

Students and staff also celebrated Mass in church where they were joined by parents, parishioners and governors.

The students in Y1 – Y6 were presented with their very own Bibles and when they returned to class they took part in activities linked to the Year of the Word, and their Aspirations Week theme of the day which was ‘Aspire to be closer to God’.

The students in KS1 considered the theme of ‘healing water’ and prayed for those who need healing.

The students in KS2 focussed on activities involving mysteries of the rosary, and using their new Bibles to support this.

Everyone had a fantastic day!

Well done to all involved.
