The Holy Cross Prayer and Care group have been creating an encounter rosary, which is based on the famous Oscar Romero crosses, and we asked the children to write and draw on the beads of the rosary how they can encounter Christ in their daily lives. The end product was an example of the variety of way we can deepen our relationship with Christ. On some of the beads they also had to write some prayers all about encountering God in many different ways, for ourselves and for others. The rosary is a constant reminder of how to connect with Christ and how this encounter can have a big impact on our lives, but also on the lives of those that we meet.
Each class has also had the opportunity of a class retreat, which allows the students to grow in faith while learning about their current RE topic. It gives the young people the opportunity to engage their faith where they are and hopefully make their faith that little bit easier to understand.
