On Tuesday 6th November 12 year 6 children started this year’s “Faith in Action” Award. We started with a launch meeting where we discussed what our faith is and how we might put this faith “Into Action” We thought about how we might support our school in preparing liturgies, helping with scripture stories, thinking about our wider school community.
We learned that the word “Charity” comes from the Greek word “Caritas” which means Love. Each class in our school has their own “Class Charity” and we talked about what we could do to support and raise awareness of our own class charities.
We will be meeting after school throughout the next couple of terms and thinking about four different reflection points as well as creating a final piece of work which will be submitted to the diocese for moderation.
Please pray for us on our journey.
