Prayer MonitorsPraying as we finish our day is as important as praying at the start of the day. It’s about looking back at what we’ve done and offering it to God. It’s also about being able to look back and be grateful for what we had and proud of what we’ve achieved.

Have a look at the simple prayers below. They are just a guide and they provide just a couple of minutes at the end of the day to help us all reflect and think before we go home.

We start with the Sign of the Cross.

Close your eyes and spend a few moments thinking about your day in silence.

Think about the best thing that happened to you.

God gives us blessings every single day because he cares for us and he loves us. That’s why we call him – Our father.

Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

We finish with the Sign of the Cross.

We start with the Sign of the Cross.

Ask the person next you about their day.

What have the found tough and what have they enjoyed?

Spend a few moments talking about it.

Mary, the Mother of God experienced both heartache and happiness at different times of her life. She understands that sometimes we struggle and sometimes we rejoice.

She reminds us that God is with us in all those moments, the good and the bad, and we can pray with her today to remind us that God has been by our side.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death. Amen

We finish with the Sign of the Cross.
