THE WORD:

“For God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not die but have eternal life.”

(John 3:16)

THE THOUGHT:

Because I am a follower of Jesus, I have the greatest gift of eternal life right now.

A reading from the first letter of Saint John.

There is no fear in love; perfect love drives out all fear. So then, love has not been made perfect in anyone who is afraid, because fear has to do with punishments. We love because God first loved us.

The Word of the Lord.
Thanks be to God.
