We’re into our second week of the term and this week’s theme reminds us of the important events we commemorate on Wednesday. The ‘Word of the Week’ this week is Remember, because on Wednesday we will stop for a 1 minute silence at 11 o’clock to remember all those who’ve lost their lives in war and conflict.
Remembering the sacrifice that soe many men and women have made for us is really important because it helps us understand how lucky we are today to enjoy the freedoms and opportunities that we do. It also reminds us to be grateful for those people who made such sacrifices and inspires us to do the same.
This this week about what you can do for others. What can you do to make a difference in someone’s life? Sometimes sacrificing your time and energy to help someone out is the most important thing you can do.
The ‘Word of the Week’
Over the week give each person a chance to vote and then on Friday have a look at the results!
Is it necessary to go to war? Should the UK be taking military action in the world right now?
Each day you’ll be able to see what other people are thinking in the other forms and have a chance to respond with your thoughts/comments. Come back to the discussion each morning if you can!
How do you wear yours?!
Each day when you’ve finished your discussion/activities spend a few moments in silence to think about the day ahead.
If anybody has anything or anyone they would like to pray for then don’t be afraid to share this with everyone before your end your form time AoW.
You might even want to create a prayer box that you can put intentions into each week if you don’t feel like saying it out loud.
We begin with the Sign of the Cross
This week use the Key Process of “Expert Groups” to explore the distribution of wealth in the UK in this infographic.
What do you think about the statistics? Should something be done?
Lord, help us to bring about equality in our world. Amen.
We finish with the Sign of the Cross
